Duties

  1. Serves as primary sales contact for designated key customer accounts.Responsible for growing relationships within these accounts and penetrating all sales opportunities.
  2. Obtain in depth knowledge of each customer account, learning about customer's applications, problems and people. Identify opportunities and threats within these accounts and develop appropriate strategies.
  3. Make customer and potential customer contacts, via phone, e-mail, and with customer visits.Takes inbound phone calls or e-mails from new potential customers.Refers customers to MTX engineering, customer service, or other MTX resources, as needed.
  4. Coordinates MTX resources to support accounts effort.Coordinates the planning for customer contacts, to optimize the time spent in contact with them.
  5. Works with all MTX representatives, salespeople, engineers and management personnel towards new accounts. Looks for leads, contacts and any opportunity to find new customers.
  6. Thoroughly understands and provides input on the MTX pricing strategy. Works with MTX management to make and track deviations.
  7. Maintains formatted file on each customer and potential customer. Defines needed communication from MTX personnel, and keeps MTX personnel informed.Maintains key customers information, including contacts, market, financial strength, products, competitors and affiliates.
  8. Supports the Office Manager, VP of Eng., President and Asian partners, to coordinate the production of sales literature, catalog information and the content of our website. Works to clearly present our points of value and differentiating factors.Assures customers have our latest sales literature, in conjunction with Customer Service.
  9. Works in close harmony with other MTX Account Manager Teams to avoid redundancies or voids in dealing with customers.Sets strategies for mid-sales and next sales to existing accounts.
  10. Manages and provides support to select MTX sales representatives.Work with MTX management on expanding represented areas.Works with MTX office on representative reports and monthly payments.
  11. Updates the Bi-Monthly Sales Volume Pro forma for assigned accounts.
  12. Travels as needed (estimated average of one week every other month) to make sales calls to key accounts, potential customers, or to visit numerous customers or potential customers in specific areas.
  13. Learns the sales and order processing aspects of MTX database.Inputs customer and order information in conjunction with MTX customer service.
  14. Studies our marketplace, our competition, and our targeted customer's marketplace and competition.Learns from the customers, MTX experts, trade journals and show, the Internet, and other sources. Develops and maintains a competitor database.
  15. Works closely with MTX engineering to provide the best solutions to customer requirements.
  16. Serves as member of MTX management staff.Strives towards meeting the company's overview goals
  17. Performs other MTX related tasks, as assigned.
